Consultations

Schedule Consult

There is no charge for the initial consultation. During your initial consultation, we will gather general information about your company, your products and/or services, and operations. This helps us understand the environment in preparation for the primary consultation.

During the primary consultation, we will spend time with you, your company, and staff during operating hours. We will look at your network topology and network settings, operating systems, hardware, software, settings, operating protocols, employee behaviors, and many other aspects of your operation. These elements give us key insights which help us in developing the most effective and efficient, tailored security protocol for your business.

Protocol
Development

Protect Your Work

Your customized security protocol includes one or more of the following plan elements, depending on how your business is organized and operated:

  • Protection: The protection plan outlines the necessary measures to ensure your company is as safe as possible. This includes training & behavioral protocols for employees, proper network and hardware configuration, installing virus scanners, keeping software and hardware up to date, response & recovery drills, etc.
  • Detection: Your choice of detection methodologies help to notify your employees of possible infiltration attempts and/or whether or not an attack is in progress.
  • Response: If an attack is detected, the response plan is a sequence of actions for stopping the attack then minimizing and assessing any damages.
  • Recovery: The recovery plan is key to minimizing downtime and getting back to business as usual after an attack takes place by remedying damages.

Staff
Training

Schedule Training

Staff training is vital in the cyber-hardening process. Proper use of networks, computers & computer software, telephone communications, email correspondence, and even customer interactions all play a critical role in maintaining a satisfactory level of cybersecurity.

After the final staff training session, it is crucial that you continue training exercises with your staff as a part of your protection plan. This should include adding cybersecurity training to your onboarding protocols for new employees as well as adding proper dismissal protocols when releasing an individual from employment. We are here to help guide you through all of this.

After your organization is optimized for security and your employees are cyber-aware, you can choose to schedule quarterly or annual assessments to help keep your businesses security-edge sharp!

Even The Smallest Businesses Need Cybersecurity

– It doesn’t take a lot to be a lot safer –

Have you caught yourself thinking or saying something like, “My business is too small to get hacked” ?

You’re not alone. Recent surveys report that nearly 60% of small business owners without any cybersecurity in place have said something very similar. Others have gone without cybersecurity for budgetary reasons.

The fact is, even a little security helps. Hollywood depicts cybersecurity with entire rooms filled with expensive firewalls, a dimly-lit control theater with 50+ specialists running around and typing out complicated programs and monitoring an entire 30 foot wall of LCD screens. This is not the case.

For small businesses that are just trying to earn an honest living – it doesn’t take a lot to be a lot safer – It really doesn’t.

We can dramatically tighten your security without exhausting your finances. That is our promise.

About Us

CMLES Sec is a service provided by Phobos Technologies LLC.

These past several years have been pretty crazy for all of us. What most people don’t know is just how much the digital landscape has changed. Cyber threats have grown by leaps and bounds – especially with the recent developments in artificial intelligence.

As the owner of Phobos Technologies, I have worked a lot with machine learning and artificial intelligence. And as a software engineer, I am very meticulous about security and security protocols. What has really surprised me is how little we hear about this issue in the media. Small businesses are getting slaughtered by threat-actors because they simply don’t know they are major cyber-attack targets … nobody told them. When the business down the street is forced to close their doors because of a data breach, ransomware, or some other cyber-attack, we don’t typically hear about it.

Unless you’re in the know and you follow cybersecurity news and you read the reports – you have probably heard very little about this veritable brush-fire of cyber crimes that is sweeping through our country.

We are in the midst of a literal cyberwar. State-sponsored hackers from the other side of the planet are relentlessly targeting SMBs in the U.S.

Of course these hackers are doing it for the cash, but what about the states sponsoring said hackers? Unfortunately their reasons are likely far more nefarious. From causing economic turmoil to securing control over major infrastructure pressure-points of highly networked and connected systems.

I launched CMLES Sec as a PhobosTech service to educate and help as many small business owners as I can to secure their work and their businesses. The more secure we are, the safer our economy and our immediate world will be.

I want threat-actors to see local Salt Lake businesses as a waste of their time and resources and simply move on to the next set of targets. I want SMBs within the surrounding Salt Lake area to be an example of superior security practices – a network of ironclad B2B links.

I look forward to working with all of you!

Sincerely,
— Thomas W.
